Description

Synthetic rubber emulsion added to cement mortar to improve waterproofing and adherence.

Usage Areas

Added to thin layer repair mortar; floor screeds; mortar used for repairing concrete fractures, cracks and segregation;

plaster; corner bevels; coatings with abrasive strength; ceramic adhesives; also used as screed undercoat.

Surface Preparation

The surface to be treated must be free from dust, dirt, rust and grease. Loose particles must be scratched out.

Lime, salt and cement foam residues must be cleared by usingBAUMERKlime and cement residue remover.

Absorbant surfaces must be wetted thoroughly prior to application.

Application

1) To Improve Adherence

1 Unit fresh concrete is mixed with 2 units of sand.LATEXis added and mixed to the consistency of slurry. It Is applied

onto wet surface using a brush with hard bristles. Mortar must be applied before this coat solidifies.

LATEXcannot and must not be used alone.

2) As A Mortar Additive

The amount ofLATEXmust be 5 to 20% of the amount of cement used.

LATEXmust be diluted with clean mixing water, and added to mortar.

Cleaning The Equipment

The equipment must be cleaned with water immediately after application.

Consumption

To improve adherence: 250 g/m²

As a mortar and concrete additive: 5% to 20% of cement.
