Unipan
Place of Origin: Italy | Brand Name: Unipan | Type: Non-Asbestos Fiber Cement Boards | dimension: 1200x2000x12.5 mm |

UNIPAN fiber reinforced lightweight cement boards
are construction boards made of a core of portland
cement with added inerts, reinforced both sides with a
special fi berglass mesh.
They provide an acceptionally hard and durable
surface that is able to withstand prolongued exposure
to water and moisture.
The double wrapped edge with edgetech technology
allows for closer fastener application of nails or screws
at the edge without crumbling or spinout.
APPLICATIONS
The boards are ideal for both interior and exterior
applications for the construction of :
• partition walls,
• drywall linings
• fl oor underlayment
• suspended ceilings
Unaffected by water, hence their high durability in
humidity saturated enviroments, such as:
• bathrooms,
• showers,
• kitchens,
• laundry rooms,
• outdoor enviroments
The main applications are contructions of:
• external claddings,
• exterior walls,
• roofi ng,
• pipes and chimneys covering,
• external fences
• skirting boards
• agricultural buildings
• garages
• backer boards
The boards offer a smooth and strong support for the
laying of ceramic tiles, glass and ceramic mosaics,
bricks and stone materials.
They can be treated with a fi nishing compound:
Unijoint, to obtain a smooth surface ready for painting.
Unipan reinforced cement boards are suitable for
applications on timber studs or metal studs positioned
at 400 mm, in new constructions and renovations.
LIMITATION
• Unipan boards can withstand evenly distributed
loads, positive and negative, up to 360 kg/sqm
• Unipan boards are water resistant but not
waterproof, therefore, if necessary, you need to
install a waterproof membrane.
• Maximum distance between studs: 400 mm.
• The main structure must be designed to limit
defl ection to less than L/360 under all live and dead
loads.
• Maximum distance between the screws: 200 mm,
for both timber and metal structures.
• Maximum load for suspended ceilings 50 kg
• The metallic structure should be protected against
corrosion.
• In case of timber studs, the boards’ minimum
supporting surface is 70 mm ( normally 70x 30 mm
is enough for external claddings ).
• Do not use standard screws or nails for
plasterboards.
• Use only alkali resistant tape.
• Do not use 8 mm. thick unipan boards in a single
layer for applications on walls and ceilings
