Advantage of KANGLI bamboo flooring

Maintenance

1. Use a vacuum cleaner and a dry mop to clean the floor.

2. Wipe off when water splashes on the bamboo floor.

3. No heavy and sharp things are allowed to directly touch the bamboo floor.

4. Use flooring wax to coat the surface of bamboo floor periodically and the area where has been scratched. Keep ventilating in the room and let fresh air in.

Floating Installation

1. Make the ground level and free of contaminants.

2. Cover the moister-proof underlay on the ground and make it smooth.

3. Put wooden blocks at the foot of all walls prior to installing the first floorboard; begin to lay with the long side toward the long wall.

4. Lay the cross tongue side of the first plank against the wooden block; Connect the short side of the second plank with mating side of the first plank; Continue to lay the planks in order.

5. Once the floor is complete, remove the wooden blocks. It is better to put flexible spring in the gap.

6. Use the skirting board to cover the gap between the flooring and the wall by nailing the tenon of the skirting board on the wall.

Nail down installation

1. Make sure the ground is dry, level, and clean prior to installation.

2. Laid damp-proof clothes to cover a width of 20cm above the ground and surrounds the wall to avoid moisture entering. The damp-proof clothes should be laid to overlap each other and fixed with adhesive tape.

3. Select 30*40mm or 20*20mm dry wooden strips for subfloor and use setscrew to fasten them on the ground with a space of about 300mm between each strip.

4. Cover the moisture-proof underlay on the subfloor.

5. Since bamboo is a natural product, color variation may occur. We recommend color matching prior to installation of bamboo floor.

6. Put the first floorboard on the subfloor. Be sure to leave an 8~12mm expansion space between the floorboard and wall. The gap will be covered by skirting board.

7. Do not fasten each plank too close ; drill a hole on the tenon of the plank to avoid any damage of plank, then nail the tenon over the wood subfloor at 45 degree angle to the face.

8. It is recommended that floors should be fastened closer in dry area than in damp area.

Installation Notes

1. Make sure that the ground is flat and dry before installation.

2. The keels for the basis frame must be dry and sturdy enough.

3. No water borne glue allowed in installation in case of dampness and distortion.

4. Prevent water of washing room, kitchen and balcony from soaking the flooring area.

5. Serious operation is needed in damp season in case of distortion.

6. The cutting section of flooring boards should be coated with damp proof lacquer in caw of being damp.

7. The flooring boards must be balanced at least 24 hours before installation in order to adapt to indoor climate; the period of balance will be different according to temperature and humidity.

8. Undo 4~5 cartons of flooring boards and scatter the boards of chromatic aberration when installation.

9. The bamboo floor can be used after 24 hours when finishing installation.
