Effect to concrete |
Waterproof effect This product was registered in NETIS system as “2011 year Highly recommended applicable technology”. Waterproof effect of our product such as replenishing gaps “Block waterway effect" (Refer picture 1) and response with cracks arising in body after construction “Self –repair function" (Refer picture 2). The basic operation principle of this product is that silicate- the principal component- is made to penetrate to deep parts in concrete. This component will react with many types of calcium in concrete, becoming a reacting product (Colloid shape), replenishing the gaps and waterway. This reacting product changes to solid body after 2~12 weeks, makes the body become a thick waterproof layer and remains this effect for a long period. |

When reacting with calcium ion, Guardex generates the sodium hydroxide of strong Alkali, adds alkalinity to carbonized concrete. The graph (left) shows data displaying the recovery of alkali in wall surface of highway's box culvert which is over 35 years from staring construction. In addition, we can get the same data of floor system's back side and pier. It can confirm the obtainment of recovery ability when exceeds RC GUARDEX's pH value. |
