Polymer-mineral adhesive mixture for bonding thermal insulation material

Product information

Shunan thermal xps adhesive mortar,a grey powder,single component based.When mixed with water, it forms an adhesive specially indicated for spot bonding of insulating materials such as extruded/expanded polystyrene sheets and rock wool to construction supports.

Range of application:

To be used for bonding thermal insulation materials (cellular polystyrene, mineral wool) and reinforcement net onto concrete or brick base during heat-insulation works on outside walls in cold temperature conditions (as low as -10°C).
High water-retention ability, frost-resistance, adhesion, good workability.
For fixing extruded polystyrene boards for thermal insulation of buildings, ideal for joining polystyrene foam to construction supports, on concrete walls, brick partition walls, renders, filled walls with mortars and all the surfaces that require insulation

Substrate requirement

The substrate should be sound, dry, flat, clean and durable

Preparation

Clean the substrate with high pressure water

Remove the old paint and putty on the substrate

Frost should be avoided

Repair the crack or joint in the substrate. Next step at least 48H later

The surface must be leveled and the deviation must be less 4mm

REMARKS:

Only mix with water and no other addition

The temperature of air and glue must be from 5°C~35°C

The glue must be used up in 3h

Avoid sunshine, high temperature and freeze-thaw

Avoid strong wind during application

Avoid rain during application

ATTENTION!The mixture is cement based with fine-fraction sand and special chemical admixtures. Therefore, ulterior addition of cement, sand or other components to the mixture is not allowed. Reaching a required quality of the product in use is subject to a strict compliance with the prescribed range of application, transportation and storage instructions.

The mixture is alkaline, so safety rules must be observed while using it. In case of eyes irritation, immediately clean up running water and seek a medical attention.
