Organosilicon Waterproof Agent E-4

Product Description

The main component of E-4 organosilicone waterproofing agent is sodium methylsiliconate. Under water and carbon dioxide, the sodium methyl alcohol reacts with the silicon to form a hydrophobic substance. The substance can penetrate the internal base course, clog pores that inside the cement mortar, increase its density, improve impermeability, and thus play a role in waterproofing and seepage control.

Operating guide

1. Mix proportion

• Silicon water ratio, Waterproofing agent: Water = 1:9 to 12 (weight ratio). Stir before using and should be used in 6 hours.

• Organosilicon waterproof mortar ratio = Cement: Sand: Silicon water = 1:2:0.5 to 0.6

• Cement is 32.5R labeling requirements or above, medium sand, clean tap water.

2. Construction process

Base Cleaning: base surface should be smooth, firm, rough (smooth base surface required to roughening, clean and wet but no water.

Waterproof layer construction: wiping silicone waterproofing mortar 20mm thick twice, each is 10mm thick. Time interval is determined by the actual situation.

Compaction and troweling: If do not coating facing layer, the mortar should be burnished after the initial setting, leaving no trachoma; If do, coating cement on it before facing layer construction.

3. Conservation

Waterproof mortar watering maintenance should be carried out immediately after the final setting, at least twice a day during the curing period (no less than 7 days, adjusting based on seasonal climate). During this period shall be avoid to water pressure, stacking heavy thing or insert other processes. If the temperature is high or encounters the violent sun, other measures such as covering should be taken and increase the curing times.

4. Special parts treatment

A large area ofa waterproof layer should be continuous construction, leaving less construction joints and should also be retained stepped ramp-shaped straight seam. Leave a hole at 200mm in theinternal and external corners, paint cement at the Interface of waterproof layer.

The interface should be clean, operating layer by layer; arc transition should be done at theinternal and external corners.

Precautions

·This product is an alkaline material, construction workers need wear protection glasses and rubber gloves to avoid contact with the skin, when spill on the skin or eyes, immediately wash with water, or go to the hospital.

·Avoid high temperatures (temperatures above 35°C), wind, sun construction.

·The agent has excellent high temperature and low temperature resistance, can construct in winter. When waterproofing agents appear to freeze, it can still be used after thawing, the effect is not affected.

·It can’t construct when the bottom layer is too wet , have water or on rainy days.

Storage and transportation

·Product should be stored in 5°C- 45°Ccool dry place, shelf life is 12 months.

·Transport should prevent the sun and rain, cold and maintain packaging undamaged.
