Global Forest Products Limited is one of the New Zealand's largest log exporters. Our product line consists of different grades of New Zealand Radiata Pine logs and timber products. And we also provide marketing and shipping services into the fastest growing Asia Markets.

Our key organizational strategy is to operate an experienced team that can achieve a good operating scale and is agile enough to effectively manage the highly dynamic business environment that we operate in.

Our export operations are concentrated in the North Island of New Zealand. We operate continuously from the ports of Wellington, Marsden Point, Tauranga, Napier etc. to go to most of the main ports in China, Korea, Singapore and India.

Timber Grade

No.1 Clears Grade – The highest quality grade which is ideally suited for uses where a long length clear is required. Due to its light color and clean appearance, this clears grade requires a minimum of processing to achieve an excellent finish.

No.2 Clears Grade – A very high grade that has one face, suited for uses where a long length clear finish is required and the other face is concealed,

No.3 Clears Grade/Dressing Grade – An excellent grade for use where clear boards do not provide enough natural character. Dressing grade still has fine appearance, but features tight knows and small bark or resin pockets. Excellent recoveries are achievable as this grade can be used in its entirety.

Furniture Grade – Versatile grade that can be used for furniture and other decorative uses. This grade comprises of No 1 cutting type timber and other timber with minor defects or knots on the best face.

Pith Free C.O.L – Ideally suited for the manufacture of furniture where a range of short clear wood lengths can be used. This grade encompasses No. 1 cuttings, No.2 cuttings and No.3 cuttings, the length of clear wood between knots or defects will be varied.

No.1A Cuttings Grade: each piece shall yield one 1.8metre clear cutting, with balance of cuttings averaging 1.0 metre. Minimum of 70%recovery of clear cuttings.

No.1 Cuttings Grade: each piece shall yield 70% of its length in clear cuttings 1.0 metre and over.

No.2 Cuttings Grade: each piece shall yield 70% of its length in clear cuttings 0.600metres and over.

No.3 Cuttings Grade: each piece shall yield 70% of its length in clear cuttings of 0.300 metres and over.

Merch Grade – A general utility grade. Economically used for workshop and warehouse shelving, framing for upholstery furniture and fence palings.

Industrial Grade – A packaging and pallet making grade which is also suitable in the full length as supplied for temporary construction and other similar uses.
