This region is a very large ceramic industrial area producing more than half of the ceramic-production share in Japan.
The pottery produced in this area is called"Mino Yaki" (= "Mino Ceramic Wares").
The "Mino Yaki" has been designated by MITI (the present Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry)
as a traditional handicraft on July 22, 1978.
The “Mino Yaki” has a long history, and it dates back to over 1300 years ago.
It’s said that the raw materials of clay for ceramics and burn-fuel for the kiln were rich in this region.
Through inheriting a long tradition and technologies, the tile of TN Corporation has been produced.
