BFG SLAG
The Most Potential exporters of granulated blast furnace slag
Lords Group is one of the most professionally managed and fast growing industrial group in India. The Group which began as a humble Commodity like Rubber Trading in 1996 is today a multifaceted gem with diverse interests in Shipping, Mining, Infrastructure, Power, Exports and Imports, International Trading, Education and Information Technology etc.
Lords Polymer (I) Private Limited a company under Lords Group is recognized by Government of India as STAR EXPORT HOUSE. The Export Division has been involved in Exports and International Trading of commodities ranging from Agricultural Products to Metals, Minerals and Ores. Lords is today one of the most respected agri product exporters in the country. Lords stands tall amongst the largest blast furnace granulated slag exporters from India. Lords also exports Cement Clinker, Fly Ash, Fly Ash Bricks, Iron Ore etc.
DETAILS OF CARGO:
Blast Furance Slag is a nonmetallic co-product which is produced in the process of iron manufacturing, Granulated Blast Furnace Slag is a glassy granular material formed when molten blast furnace slag is rapidly cooled by direct water.
Rapid cooling prohibits the formation of crystals and forms glassy, non-metallic, silicates and alumino silicates of calcium
ROLE OF SLAG IN CEMENT:
A need was felt by the industry to come up with a cement which can assure the amalgamation of both STRENGTH AND DURABILITY. After a long experimentation, it is observed that the advantage of pozzolanic materials like cement granulated blast furnace slag, fly ash etc., along with OPCs can serve the dual purpose of both STRENGTH AND DURABILITY in addition to some benefits with respect to the rheology of concrete.
ADVANTAGES OF SLAG BASED CEMENT:
High ultimate strength of concrete
Highest degree of durability of concrete
Substantial improvement in the durability of concrete structures
High compressive strength which even surpasses OPC 53 grade strength requirement
Low heat of hydration which ensures minimal thermal cracks
Increased workability of concrete mix makes concrete cement impermeable and thereby more resistant to atmospheric pollutants
Optimum range of workability with enhanced mixability, mobility, compactability and finishibility by advantaging higher degree of fineness in cement particles and by uniform particle size distribution
Low alkali content reduces the susceptibility to alkali aggregate reaction
Optimum setting time with high compressive strength
Protect steel bars in the concrete corrosion give self compacting concrete mix with a lower water cement ratio of chemical contact |
APPLICATION OF PORT LAND SLAG CEMENT:
Construction of multistoried building
Foundation, piles, underground structures
Any water retaining structures
Mass concrete works like bridges, dams etc.
Port, Wharfs, Jetties and other marine structures
Industrial warehouse, chimney, cooling towers |
