The slabs are packed in iron A Frame or a wooden crate.

A Frame dimensions:

Width = 66 inches

Length = 79 inches (18 inches stand + 2 inches for wood) therefore area used for packing = 79 –20 = 59 inches

Height = 69 inches

The packing is done according to the thickness of the slabs. We need to leave 12cm on each side of the container width for lacing and wiring of the slabs (therefore 24 cm total), 5 cm for bend, plastic sheet. Therefore total 29 cm is left free.

Container width = 234 cm

Space left free = 29 cm (24 + 5 cm for packing, lacing, bend, plastic sheet)

Area used = 234 – 29 = 205 cm

A-frame area not used = 51 cm (the width of the stand)

Therefore total area unused = 51+29 = 80 cm

Area used = 234 – 80 =154 cm

We can accommodate:

2 cm slab = 77 slabs

3 cm slab = 51 slabs

4 cm slab = 38 slabs

Wooden crate dimensions:

There are two types of wooden crates - Wooden crate for gang saw slabs and wooden create for vertical slabs.

Gang saw slab wooden crate dimension:

Width = 21 cm

Length = 240 cm

Height = 230 cm

We can accommodate:

2 cm slab = 10 slabs

3 cm slab = 7 slabs

4 cm slab = 5 slabs

Vertical slab wooden crate dimension:

Width = 44 cm

Length = 180 cm

Height = 114 cm

We can accommodate:

2 cm slab = 22 slabs

3 cm slab = 15 slabs

4 cm slab = 11 slabs
